I recently grabbed a 2020 Svartpilen 701 and have been loving it so far, except for one thing. My OBD system keeps throwing a P1703 error code, and I can't seem to find any clear info about what it means or how to fix it.

Has anyone here run into this before? Any tips, advice, or resources you can share would be a huge help.

I've actually seen that P1703 code come up before on a few KTM/Husqvarna models, and it almost always points to an issue with the brake switch or its circuit.
Essentially, the bike's computer isn't getting the correct signal about whether the brake pedal is pressed or not.
It could be something simple like a misadjusted brake switch, a loose connection, or even a faulty switch itself.
I'd start by checking your brake lights to make sure they're working properly.
Then, try gently wiggling the wires around the brake pedal to see if a connection is intermittent.
If that doesn't clear it, use a diagnostic tool so you can read live data from the brake switch and see if it's sending the right signal.

The P1703 code usually means there's a problem with the quickshifter or gear sensor , could be a dirty connector or loose wire near the shift lever. Try cleaning the connections and resetting the ECU to see if it clears. If it keeps showing up, the sensor might need testing or replacing.
