Right grip is loose

I tried changing out the factory grips on my bike... ALONE. And now the left side has this annoying little wiggle. It feels like there might be a tab or ridge under there messing with the fit. Also, the stock grips have this weirdly chunky end cap, which pushes the turn signals out too far. I've got big hands and even I have to reach for them. Anyone else run into this? What's under that grip, and is there a cleaner option?

@Huskybarney yep, I totally get it! I ran into that exact problem with the stock end caps pushing the turn signals out way too far.
Some people just trim down the factory end caps a bit, which can definitely help.
If you're after a cleaner look, though, you might want to check out aftermarket internal bar end weights or mirrors. They typically have a much lower profile than the stock ones and can make a big difference.

Check if there's a hidden tab or ridge under the grip causing the wiggle

I do have to ask. You're going for aftermarket grips, so the obvious question would be if they're a direct fit for your model? Maybe you need some custom work?
