Usable Fuel Capacity

The manual for my 2019 701 lists the tank capacity at 13 liters and that's around 3.4 gallons, but I'm more interested in the usable capacity, especially once that low fuel warning light comes on.
On my usual mix of light trails and backroad cruising, the warning light tends to come up somewhere between 140 to 150 km, sometimes a bit earlier if I've been on the throttle more and I've heard people say there's roughly 2.5 to 3 liters left when the light comes on, but I haven't had the nerve to run it dry and find out myself. I'm trying to figure out how much more actual range I can count on after the light shows up, I don't usually carry extra fuel unless I'm heading way off grid, so having a solid sense of how far I can stretch the tank without guessing would be helpful. Has anyone tracked their fill ups closely enough to know what the actual reserve is once the warning triggers?

That's a great question. Most people see the low fuel light come on with around 2.5 to 3 liters still in the tank. You can probably go another 60–80 km, give or take, depending on your riding style. I've never run it dry myself, but I've thought about testing it with a spare bottle just in case. How far have you gone past the light turning on?

Have you ever filled up right after the light comes on to see how much you actually put in? That'd help figure your real reserve, what's the most you've added post-warning so far?
